About

Free career support for Black African and Caribbean international students in the UK.

Meet the founder

Hi, this is Toluwani.

Toluwani studied Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity, then went on to work in data and engineering. As a student ambassador at university, she saw up close the challenges international students face.

Later, she watched friends graduate with first-class degrees and still struggle to find a job, because they needed an employer that could sponsor their visa. She hasn't faced that barrier herself, but she couldn't keep watching talented people miss out.

Now doing a master's in Madrid, she knows what it's like to study in a country that isn't your own. With the job market as tough as it is, needing sponsorship makes everything harder. Finding a job on a visa takes a lot of steps. KickStartYou is here to make one of those steps easier.

About KickStartYou

Two barriers. One place that looks at both.

Black African and Caribbean international students in the UK face two barriers at once: finding an employer that can sponsor a visa, and racial bias in hiring. Visa platforms ignore race. Black career platforms ignore visas. KickStartYou offers free career support that looks at both.
